Is receiving a fax really free? Will it stay a FREE service ?

This service is absolutely free of charge. There are no monthly maintenance costs, hidden fees or signup fees. You will need to receive atleast 1 fax every 90 days to keep your account active and open.  This service will remain FREE and there is no limit to the number and size of faxes received.

Is sending faxes from my email address also free?

FaxOut is available on for Free Fax to Email clients, however this fax out service is not free.  For this fax out service, you need to purchase credits.  It is a easy process.  Login, and follow the procedure on screen in order to send faxes from your computer.

How do I accept (activate) my fax number ?

You will receive an confirmation email after signing up. Click on the ‘accept’ button to activate your account.

I have forgotten my password. How do I login ?

Click on the login button on our website, then select “lost password”.  You will then be prompted to enter your email address, and a “password reset” email will be sent to your email address.

If I change my email address can I keep my existing fax number ?

Yes, you can. Definitely keep the same fax number. Just follow the steps to login, then click on “account”, and then “my details” and change your email address.  or contact our support desk for assistance with this.

How long do I have to wait for a fax number ? 

As soon as you complete the signup process, the free fax number is allocated and activated once you have confirmed your email address.  You may the receive faxes on your new free fax to email number.

Will I need to install any specialised software?

Faxes are received as either a PDF or TIFF file. Most commonly used operating systems are equipped to handle these formats, but the relevant software can also easily be downloaded from the internet.

Are my faxes archived onto a Server, and for how long ?

All faxes you receive are archived on our server for a period of 5 years, and can be accessed from our “login” section on our website.

How many Fax Numbers can I have ?

You can have one fax number per email address.  This means that if you have multiple email accounts, you can have multiple fax numbers.   If you are working in an office environment, each staff member with an email address can have their own free fax number. Should you require multiple fax numbers in a consecutive range, please contact us.

Can I still register if I do not have access to the internet?

Although internet is crucial in receiving fax to email, if you do not have internet, but you have an email address you can send an email to support@freefaxtoemailsa.co.za from wherever you do have internet access, we will automatically link your new fax number to the email address that you are using.

Can my number receive calls from anywhere ?

Yes for any of our fax numbers. Calls can be received from anywhere in the world free of charge, all you have to do is add the prefix +27 to your number and drop the first 0 of your fax number. i.e. +2786xxxxxx or +2786xxxxxxx.

How can I activate or accept an account by email?

This is done by clicking the “accept” button which is found in the activation email. You will receive this email as soon as you sign up for our service.

How much does sending a fax cost?

Please refer to the Free Fax to Email FaxOut rates sheet, which can be viewed on our website(note: our rates may be subject to changes without prior notification).

How can i buy more FaxOut credits?

Once you are logged in on your account click on the “Buy credits ” button.
